Our Mission

CICLE is a multidisciplinary center with the primary mission of offering rapid and comprehensive care for children and adolescents with cancer. We combine cutting-edge technology and recognized medical expertise to treat the most complex oncological conditions.

Our Specialties

CICLE is renowned for its expertise in the surgical treatment of the following cancers:

• Rhabdomyosarcomas

• Liver tumors

• Neuroblastomas

• Wilms' tumors (Nephroblastomas)

• Pediatric gonadal tumors

Our teams utilize advanced techniques such as minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery, and fluorescence-guided imaging to ensure effective procedures while minimizing post-operative sequelae.

Multidisciplinary Care

At CICLE, patient care is based on close collaboration between various medical specialties, including:

• Pediatric oncologic surgery

• Interventional radiology

• Pediatric anesthesia and critical care

• Anatomopathology

• Pediatric and adult endocrinology (for transition care)

• Nephrology, hepatology, gynecology, and other specialties including fertility preservation.

Our team consists of physicians, surgeons, nurses, coordinators, psychologists, and physiotherapists who support the child and their family throughout the care pathway, from diagnosis to recovery.

The Care Pathway

1. Initial Contact: Patients can be referred directly through the Foreign patients  webpage

2. . Our coordination team is available 24/7 to manage urgent cases.

3. Rapid Diagnosis: Once admitted, the center performs a rapid diagnosis using medical imaging (MRI, CT scans), allowing for quick decision-making through multidisciplinary discussions.

4. Surgical Intervention: Surgical interventions are scheduled swiftly if necessary, with emergency slots reserved for oncology imaging and surgery. Our surgeons use innovative techniques to maximize treatment effectiveness.

5. Post-Operative Follow-Up and Sequelae: After treatments, children receive personalized follow-up care to prevent and treat potential sequelae related to surgeries and cancer treatments. CICLE offers solutions for fertility preservation, urological, gynecological, endocrinological, and nephrological sequelae management.

Collaboration with Reference Centers

We work closely with renowned pediatric oncology centers, including:

• Gustave Roussy (IGR)

• Institut Curie

These partnerships ensure coordinated management of systemic treatments and long-term patient follow-up, with a continuous exchange of medical expertise.
